Website for a freight transport company

Freight clients do not search for "freight transport". They search the route: Chișinău–Bucharest, Chișinău–Milan, Chișinău–Moscow. Each route is a page, and a company with one services page appears in none of them.

A haulier with a "Services" page and a map of Europe appears in no commercial search at all.

Because nobody searches for the service. They search the route.

What a haulier's site actually needs

A page for every main route. Chișinău–Bucharest, Chișinău–Milan, Chișinău–Moscow, Chișinău–Kyiv. With duration, frequency, accepted cargo type and the documents required. Those are the pages that bring clients.

Cargo types. General, groupage, refrigerated, oversized, dangerous goods. Each with different requirements and different clients; groupage especially has its own search and small, frequent customers.

An indicative price or a calculator. Not a fixed figure, but an order of magnitude per route or per kilometre. A client who cannot estimate sends the enquiry to five firms and picks whoever answers first with a number.

The documents. CMR, invoice, customs declaration, what is needed for special cargo. It is searched content and it is proof that you know what you are doing.

Shipment tracking. At minimum a status per order. "Where is my cargo" calls are the single biggest time sink in a dispatch office.

Real transit times. Including customs, not just kilometres.

Cargo insurance. What is covered by default, what gets bought on top. Every serious client asks.

The integrations that matter

An enquiry form per route. From, to, what cargo, weight, volume, date. A quote comes out of that the same day.

A status per order. A code the client enters to see where the cargo is. It cuts calls more than anything else.

A link to the dispatch system. If orders live in a system, the status has to come from there rather than being entered twice.

Common mistakes

No route pages. The biggest missed opportunity in the field.

Just a map of Europe. Attractive, and it appears in no search.

No price information at all. The client asks five firms and picks the one that answered concretely.

No tracking. The dispatch office spends the day answering the same question.

What we build

A prerendered site with a page per main route, cargo types separated, a structured enquiry form, a status per order and the documents explained. Romanian, Russian and English. Freight service structured data.

Questions

Why pages per route rather than one page?

Because "transport Chișinău Bucharest price" is a search and "haulage company" barely is. Every main route is a separate door with its own clients.

Do I have to publish prices?

An order of magnitude, yes. The exact price depends on cargo and season, but a client who cannot estimate at all leaves for the firm that gave them a number.

Is shipment tracking worth it?

Yes, and it pays for itself in dispatch time. A status per order removes most of the "where are you now" calls.

Do I need English?

Yes, if you work with forwarders or clients abroad. Russian covers the east, English covers the rest.
