What these terms cover
This page governs your use of the website at https://coresmith.dev and everything reachable from it: the marketing pages, the Automation Project brief, the booking link, and any other public content here.
If you submit the project brief form, send us an email, or book a call, you're agreeing to these terms — and to the Privacy Policy — for that interaction.
Who can use the site
The site is aimed at businesses considering custom engineering work. You can read it whether or not you ever become a client.
If you're submitting the project brief form or booking a call on behalf of a company, you're confirming you have the authority to do so. The site is not designed for users under 16.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit the project brief form with fake or someone else's contact information
- Submit the form repeatedly to flood the inbox — there's a 5/minute rate limit per IP, and beyond that the bot-check will block you
- Scrape, mirror, or systematically download the site
- Reverse-engineer the site to identify or contact a specific person behind it
- Use the site to do anything illegal in your jurisdiction or ours
- Try to bypass the Cloudflare Turnstile bot-check or any other security control
We may block IPs, refuse to send a report, or refuse to take a call without explanation. We don't owe you a response.
The project brief
The brief form sends us two choices, an optional description of your project, and your email address. What comes back is a reply written by a person, normally within one business day.
Anything in that reply — a rough range, a rough duration, a suggested approach — is indicative, based only on what you told us in a few sentences. It is not:
- A quote, an offer, or a binding price for any actual work
- A commitment to a schedule or a delivery date
- Financial, tax, or investment advice
- A technical assessment of a system we haven't seen
A binding price and a binding schedule exist only in a signed proposal, after the scope is written down. Section 06 covers what that looks like.
Booking a call
Clicking the "Book a call" link takes you to Cal.com, a third-party scheduling service governed by their own terms. Booking a call doesn't commit either of us to anything beyond showing up to that call.
The call itself is informational — we'll talk about your project, you'll find out whether there's a fit, and if there is, we'll go from there. No work begins, no fees are due, and no obligations exist until both parties sign a separate engagement contract.
If we work together — separate contract
These terms do not govern actual engineering work. If we agree to start a project, you'll receive a separate written proposal and a Statement of Work (SOW) or services agreement covering:
- What we're building (scope) and what counts as done (acceptance)
- Fees, payment schedule, and how change-requests are handled
- Who owns the code and IP we produce, and when (typically: you, on full payment)
- Confidentiality, NDA terms, and how shared information is handled
- Timeline, milestones, and what happens if something slips
- Cancellation, suspension, and disputes specific to that project
Anything you read on this website is marketing, not a binding offer. The SOW is the binding document.
Site content and intellectual property
Everything on coresmith.dev — copy, code visible in the browser, design, branding, case-study descriptions, the coresmith.dev mark — is owned by coresmith.dev or licensed for use here. You're welcome to:
- Read the site, quote excerpts in articles or social posts with attribution and a link back
- Share the URLs with anyone
You may not:
- Copy the design, layout, or substantial text into your own site
- Use the coresmith.dev name or logo to imply endorsement or partnership
- Train a generative AI model on the site content at scale (one-off prompts are fine)
Third-party trademarks mentioned in case studies (e.g., Stripe, Postgres, AWS) belong to their respective owners.
Third-party services
The site relies on a handful of external services to function. Their availability and terms are not ours to control:
- Cal.com — call booking
- Cloudflare Turnstile — bot-check on the project brief form
- Resend — sends the project brief email
- Sentry — error tracking
- Umami Cloud — privacy-friendly analytics
If one of these has an outage, the matching feature on the site may stop working temporarily. We monitor them and act when we see something. See the Privacy Policy for what each one sees.
No warranty — the site is provided as-is
We try to keep coresmith.dev up, accurate, and useful. But the site is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis, without warranty of any kind — express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. We don't promise:
- That the site will be available 100% of the time
- That every link, email, or PDF will arrive every time
- That the project brief's results are accurate for your specific situation
- That information here stays current — services evolve, copy lags
Use the site at your own risk. If something on the site appears to be wrong or outdated, please email services@coresmith.dev so we can fix it.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, the total liability of coresmith.dev for any claim arising from or relating to the website is capped at the fees you have actually paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim arose. If you haven't paid us anything, the cap is zero.
In no event are we liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or lost opportunities — even if we were told the possibility existed.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be excluded under the law that governs them: fraud, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that is non-excludable by statute.
If you stop using the site
You can stop using the site at any time. We may also stop offering parts of the site, or the site altogether, at any time without notice. If we do, sections 07 (IP), 09 (no warranty), 10 (liability), and 13 (governing law) keep applying to your past use.
Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Moldova, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or the website is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Chișinău, Republic of Moldova.
If you're a consumer based in the EU/EEA, this clause doesn't deprive you of the protections of mandatory consumer-law rules in your country of residence.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes — new restrictions on use, a different liability cap, a different governing law — we'll update the Last updated date at the top and post a banner on the site for at least 14 days. Editorial changes (typos, clarifications, fixing broken links) don't trigger a notice.
Continuing to use the site after the notice period means you accept the updated terms. If you don't, stop using the site.
