A moving company receives dozens of messages along the lines of "how much is a move from a two-room flat?".
The honest answer is "it depends", and the client hears "they will not tell me".
The difference is a form that asks exactly what moves the price — and answers with a figure the same day.
What a moving company's site actually needs
An estimate by volume, not by rooms. The number of rooms says little. What matters is how much needs packing, whether furniture must be dismantled, how many boxes, what is fragile.
The floor and the lift, at both addresses. The factor that changes the price most, and the one clients never volunteer.
What the price includes. Packing, materials, dismantling and reassembly, transport, carrying, insurance. Each separately, with what costs extra.
Special items. Piano, safe, aquarium, American fridge, heavy furniture. Either you handle them or you do not — but write it down.
Insurance. What is covered, up to what value, what is not. The most important question in a move and the least often written.
Areas and long-distance moves. Chișinău, the rest of the country, international. Different services with different searches.
How long it takes. Half a day, a day, two. Clients book time off work around that figure.
The integrations that matter
A structured estimate form. Addresses, floors, lift, approximate volume, packing, special items, date. A real quote comes out of that; "describe your move" produces nothing.
Photo uploads. Three pictures of the flat say more than ten completed fields.
An availability calendar. Month-end and weekends fill first. A client who can see the 30th is free books immediately.
Common mistakes
No online estimate. It loses the clients comparing three firms in one evening.
No question about the floor. A quote given without it is wrong, and correcting it on the day destroys trust.
No insurance information. The first question from any client with valuables.
A fixed price on display. It turns into a dispute on the first move from a fourth floor with no lift.
What we build
A prerendered site with an estimate form that asks what matters, photo uploads, an availability calendar and the price scope written out point by point. Insurance and special items explained. Romanian and Russian.
Questions
Why can I not display a fixed price?
Because the same two-room move costs differently from a first floor with a lift and a fourth floor without one. A fixed price produces either losses or disputes. A range plus a form that asks properly solves both.
What must the form include?
Both addresses with floor and lift, approximate volume, whether packing is needed, special items and the date. Without the floor, any quote is a guess.
Is an availability calendar worth it?
Yes. Moves cluster at month-end, and a client who sees a free date books then rather than after calling two more firms.
What should I write about insurance?
What is covered by default, up to what value, and what can be insured on top. It is the question that decides for clients with valuables.
